Prayer flags flutter in the Storytime Room

Prayer flags made by some of Steamboat's young reading enthusiasts

Last week, kids participating in Read to the Peak,  part of Bud Werner Memorial Library’s Summer Reading Program for children ages 5-10, listened to a story from the Himalayas and made their own Tibetan-style prayer flags.  Now they’re hanging in the Storytime Room.  Check them out!

For those who missed it (or want to read it again!) the Himalayan story that Children’s Librarian Sarah Kostin told this week was  The Snow Leopard by Jackie Morris.
